Aztec Coffee aka Mexican Spiced Mocha

A potent and delicious savoury dessert coffee to try.

coffee beans spilled from a bag

While traveling in Edmonton, my wife and I dined at a Mexican restaurant and ordered an Aztec Coffee for dessert. It left quite the impression. I wanted to re-create this experience at home and found a great recipe on this blog, Homemade In The Kitchen. I followed this recipe last night, and the outcome did not disappoint. My only thoughts, go easy on the chili – it easily overwhelms the flavours.
